SUMMER PLANS

Summer is here, and many of us now find ourselves in summer vacation mode. With that in mind, your Kehllah is setting a more relaxed summertime tone with our Casual Shabbats, each Friday night through Labor Day. Our plan is to keep you involved in synagogue life throughout the summer. With this goal in mind, we have planned what I hope will be some interesting and exciting programs for these months.

1. All of our Friday night services now are constructed around certain themes, some of which include a Trivia Shabbat, a Hawaiian shirt Shabbat, a Movie Shabbat, an Ice Cream Shabbat and, returning once again on July 20, "Avenue Jew: A Puppet Shabbat." Please check our webpage for dates, times, and more specific information.

2. Our weekly Torah study group will continue to meet on Sunday afternoons at 1:00 PM throughout the summer, to engage in an informal discussion of the weekly Torah reading. These informational chats present a wonderful opportunity to explore what we see in the Torah, and to share the experiences of fellow congregants as you journey through the Bible.

3.  High Holy Days choir rehearsals begin Tuesday, August 7. No audition required! If you would like to join us, or if you’d like to sit in during our first rehearsal without making a commitment, please let me know so that we will have materials ready for you.

If none of these activities seem like your "thing", please contact me to suggest other activities you would find more inviting. Cantor@kehillatchaim.org.

AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON:

       1)              It’s fun!!

Remember, there is no audition required.  If you are interested in joining us, and are able to commit to regular Tuesday night rehearsals, or if you have any questions, please call me at the office (770-641-8630) or email me (Cantor@KehillatChaim.org).  High Holiday rehearsals begin Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 7:30 PM in the sanctuary.

In the meantime, have an enjoyable Summer!
