What is Sisterhood?
Sisterhood is the organization of the women of the congregation who band together in friendship for programs to benefit the Temple and the community, for social activities, for study, and above all, for the growth of the individual so that each may find an opportunity to fulfill her potential as a person. Sisterhood provides the arena for the individual to expand and grow in a Jewish atmosphere and includes all women with an affiliation to the Temple.
Some of the many Sisterhood projects include:
- Kehillah Gift Shop with a variety of Judaic jewelry and gift items. Holiday items featured throughout the year including Hanukkah menorahs and wrapping paper, and Seder plates, Matzoh covers, and Kiddush cups for Passover. B'nai Mitzvah Families...Personalized kippot and tallit are available at very good prices by special order.
- Support several Community/Social Action Programs including:
- The Drake House
- Support for The Zaban Night Shelter
- Purim Carnival (Pictures from last year's Purim Carnival are below...click through to see all the fun!)
